Malibu's Endless Summer at the Malibu Lumber Yard
Last weekend I produced and directed an event fundraiser for AMPS (Advocates for Malibu Public Schools) at the iconic and always sleek Malibu Lumber Yard. Have you shopped there? It's the one that is uber mod, next to the Malibu Country Mart. Stores like Intermix, All Saints, Bailey 44, Alice and Olivia share space with the colorful Cafe Habana. The property management company hired me to produce a series of community and shopping events to drive local traffic to the center. Um, yes please.
I personally selected working with AMPS as they are so passionate about serving the students in the Malibu public school system. AMPS is a community of Malibu residents devoted to the mission of creating an independent Malibu Unified School District dedicated to excellence in education for the Malibu community. An independent Malibu Unified School District would allow the Malibu community to bring its schools to the forefront of educational innovation, technology, and student focus.
Take a great venue, super passionate people, delicious food and drink made by locals and you have the perfect mix to fundraise. The tickets were sold in advance and an auction was available at the culinary cocktail party.
